Foley was proud to sponsor Count Me In for Women’s Economic Independence’s “Make Mine a $Million Business Conference” on May 21st at the Concourse Hotel in Madison, Wisconsin (www.makemineamillion.org). This conference brought together nearly 400 attendees, primarily women business-owners, who had the opportunity to meet with various industry experts and network with other women entrepreneurs.
During the conference, Wisconsin women business-owners competed for an awards package of products and services which will assist them in growing their business to one million dollars in revenue – and the eight winners were announced at the conference. Foley, along with companies such as OPEN by American Express, Cisco Systems and Fed Ex contributed to the awards packages.
Anne Ross, Carmen Couden and Callie Bell were featured speakers – conducting a panel program on key legal issues for business-owners when starting and/or growing a business. Their presentation covered topics such as choosing an entity, early stage financing, employee incentives and protection of intellectual property.
Both Anne Ross and Maureen McGinnity are on the Wisconsin Make Mine a $Million Steering Committee, and were very instrumental in the launch of this program in Wisconsin. Foley also had an exhibit booth during the conference.
