Foley is pleased to invite you to a program in our Foley Executive Briefing Series featuring a discussion on tenant-in-common (TIC) offerings. This program is for real estate developers and owners, lenders, commercial real estate brokers, securities broker-dealers, and investment advisors actively involved in, or considering involvement in, the fast-growing world of TIC offerings. TIC offerings are an important strategy for real estate owners considering the sale of their portfolio properties, real estate developers seeking moderately priced equity, and real estate investors searching for tax-advantaged investment opportunities. There also are important business opportunities for commercial real estate brokers, financial advisors, licensed securities broker-dealers, traditional and nontraditional real estate lenders, and equity providers.
Since the TIC offering industry was created by the 2002 publication of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Revenue Procedure 2002-22, it has grown to more than $4 billion in annual equity raised. The industry is now expanding into nontraditional real estate such as senior living facilities, golf courses, hotels, and oil and gas interests.
The free-flowing, interactive panel discussion will focus on new trends, developments, and opportunities in this expanding industry. Under the guidance of Boston-based Foley partner Stephen I. Burr, Foley has established a prominent national presence in representing sponsors, broker-dealers, and lenders in the TIC offering industry. Representation has included involvement in leading-edge hotel, golf course, and oil and gas offerings, in addition to many more traditional offerings.
Joining Mr. Burr on the panel addressing Current Trends will be Clay Womack, CEO, Direct Capital Securities and managing director, Adageo Capital Markets; Corey Smith, vice president, sales and marketing, Noble Royalties; Carlton Cabot, CEO, Cabot Investments; Keith Braddish, managing director, CBRE/Melody; Seth Wolkov, Madison Capital; and Taylor Garrett, Orchard Securities.
