Chris E. Rossman and Dick Prebil will participate at the AHLA Annual Meeting’s In-House Counsel Program on June 24-27 in Chicago.
Rossman will be presenting along with Cynthia F. - Internal and external investigations and the company’s need for facts
- Value of opinions of counsel issued to the company itself
- External counsel reliance on internal counsel and shared/delegated due diligence

- Value of legal opinions in joint ventures and transactions
- Application of attorney/client and work product privilege
- Roles of internal and external counsel in issuing legal opinions
- When is an opinion not an opinion (“reasoned” opinions)
Prebil will be moderating the “Perspectives on Pay-for-Performance” luncheon at the Hospitals and Health Systems and Regulation, Accreditation, and Payment Practice Groups Joint Annual Luncheon on Monday, June 25, 2007.
Pay-for-Performance, Value- Based Purchasing , benchmarking, paying for quality, consumer directed healthcare, and organizations such as Bridges to Excellence and Leapfrog are all part of a larger movement that is looking at price transparency and quality of performance through a large-scale public reporting mandate for healthcare providers.
