Foley is proud to participate in the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA) Regional Meeting, Supplier Strategies for Turbulent Times, on May 8 – 9, 2008 at the Chicago Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, Illinois. This is the ninth meeting in a series of regional meetings bringing OESA’s value proposition to auto suppliers located outside southeast Michigan.
John R. Trentacosta, Partner and Co-Chair of Foley’s Automotive Industry Team, will discuss “Managing Legal Issues in Supply Chain Disputes: A Strategy for Success.” Highlights will include:
- Best-in-class approaches to managing common supplier issues such as raw materials increases
- Pricing disputes
- Production shutdown threats
- Tooling possession disputes
- Dealing with financially distressed and bankrupt customers and suppliers
Attendees also will hear from W. Jeff Jeffery, President and CEO of IRMCO about his company’s beneficial experience with OESA. In addition, Juergen Reers, Partner at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, will present findings from Roland Berger’s study, “Navigating Turbulent Waters.” Results of the study will help executives learn about global automotive supplier profitability trends. Finally, Kim Korth, OESA Board Member and President and CEO of IRN, Inc., will present “Key Issues for Suppliers Navigating a Challenging Landscape.” This topic will focus on the differentiating elements of successful suppliers and share the key operational and commercial elements suppliers should consider for long-term strategy.
