Noncompete law in Massachusetts is complicated and extremely fact- and equities-based, which frequently renders outcomes unpredictable. The Massachusetts Legislature is currently considering a proposal — sponsored by State Representatives Lori Ehrlich and Will Brownsberger — that would codify and clarify existing law, modernize the law, and provide incentives and greater certainty to both employers and employees.
Join Foley for The Changing Noncompete Landscape in Massachusetts: Are You Ready?, a roundtable to help CEOs, in-house counsel, and HR managers understand the potential implications of the proposed legislation, plan for the changes contemplated by the bill, and formulate a plan of action for the interim. The roundtable will be lead by the bill’s sponsors, Representatives Ehrlich and Brownsberger, Rob Mantell, an attorney with Rodgers, Powers & Schwartz LLP who assisted with the development of the bill, and Foley Partner Russell Beck, the principal drafter of the proposed bill.
Attendees will have ample time to raise questions and participate directly in the dialogue with those at the center of the movement.
There is no cost to attend, but advance registration is required.
