On Wednesday, October 4th from 1:30 – 2:45 pm, Foley Partner Larry Vernaglia will present “An Overview of Medicare Advantage and Part D: Basics, Fundamentals, and Compliance Challenges.”
This session will provide attendees with a basic overview of the legal and regulatory structure of the Medicare Advantage (MA) and Medicare prescription drug (Part D) programs. It will also focus on current compliance concerns for those providing advice to MA and Part D plans. Compliance is a high priority focus of the government and attorneys providing advice to these plans must be aware of current developments.
On Thursday, October 5th from 2:00-3:00 pm, Foley Partner Judy Waltz will present “Emerging Administrative Enforcement Tools.”
This session will cover:
- CMS’ data analytics
- Medicare: Billing privileges revocations and denials, enrollment moratoria
- Payment suspensions (recent Medicaid targets as well as Medicare “sweeps”)
- OIG CMPs and Exclusions–finalized rules
- Medicaid enforcement: CMS-led efforts, reciprocal terminations, and enrollment actions
