Foley Partner Nathaniel Lacktman, Chair of the firm’s Telemedicine Industry Team and co-chair of the firm’s Digital Health Group, was the keynote speaker at the Telehealth Alliance of Oregon Annual Meeting and Summit in Portland, OR, April 5-6, 2018. His presentation was titled, “What’s Ahead for Telehealth Policy?”
The Telehealth Alliance of Oregon (TAO) is a non-profit membership organization. Membership is open to anyone interested in supporting the mission and goals of the organization. TAO welcomes telehealth service providers, organizations interested in providing telehealth services, suppliers of equipment, software or transport for telehealth services, healthcare insurance providers or anyone interested in improving healthcare through telecommunications.
The theme of this Summit was Unlocking the Power of Telehealth: I³ Integration, Implementation and Innovation. The Summit focused on using integration, collaboration, and innovation to enhance the power of telehealth as a strategy for advancing healthcare. The Policy Forum addressed the telecommunications priorities for telehealth such as cybersecurity, FirstNet, and FCC funding for telehealth, as well a national perspective on new telehealth policy.
