Jeanne Gills, Partner and Vice-Chair of Foley’s IP Department, will be a speaker at the “ABA-IPL New Horizons Program” during the ABA Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL on August 2, 2018.
New Horizons: Achieving Success at the PTAB in the Wake of the New Regulatory and Decisional Climate
The program will cover changes at the PTAB to improve its public perception, including regulatory reform such as changes to the claim construction standard, motions to amend, rehearings, expanded panels, and partial institutions. Director Iancu has publically stated that the PTAB has a perception problems, and we will have a dialogue about whether there are actually problems, what these problems might be, and how they might be remedied. We will discuss publically released proposals and proposals that might be made going forward.
