Foley Special Counsel Jill Wright will be speaking at HCCA’s 23rd Annual Compliance Institute in Boston on Monday, April 8th at 11:30 a.m. She will be speaking along with Karen Glassman, Senior Counsel at the Office of Counsel to the IG, DHHS, and their presentation is titled “Fraud and Abuse Laws 101 & OIG’s Role.” The presentation will provide a 20,000-foot overview of AKS, Stark, Bene Inducement Civil Monetary Penalty, False Claims Act, and Exclusions Law from OIG and private firm perspectives. The presentation information will be tailored to a compliance officer audience as opposed to lawyers, and will focus on how compliance officers can and do interact with OIG.
