The Real Estate Investment Security Industry: What to Expect in 2010
09 February 2010
Foley Partner Stephen Burr authored an article titled “The Real Estate Investment Security Industry: What to Expect in 2010” in the February 2010 issue of Real Estate Finance. Burr discusses the state of the commercial real estate and debt markets following the economic crisis. He states that although the sales of direct investment interests in commercial real estate to exchange investors will remain slow, sponsors and investors are increasingly seeking capital to take advantage of what they view as a unique buying opportunity. He adds that 2010 should be a challenging year, but also one filled with opportunity for creative and committed industry participants.
