A number of regulations and standards from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, OSHA, and other organizations have recently been revised and/or updated. TRC has prepared a Regulatory Update summarizing the changes with anticipated impacts in 2014.
The rule changes primarily impact:
- Air emissions, including greenhouse gases
- Water and storm water discharges
- Drinking water
- Process Safety Management
- Occupational Health and Safety
- Chemical reporting, labeling and training
- Conflict minerals
- Phase I environmental assessments
- Sustainability reporting
You may be impacted if you operate the following equipment and/or processes:
- Industrial, commercial and/or institutional boilers
- Sources that emit fine particulate matter, volatile organic compounds or greenhouse gases
- Steam generating units
- Cooling water intake structures
- Crystalline silica exposure
- Beryllium exposure
- Construction – confined space and cranes/derricks
