The numbers are in, and Gardere is proud to announce that our mergers and acquisitions team had another successful year in 2015. Holding true to our reputation, Gardere attorneys assisted clients with closing 54 M&A deals in 2015 with aggregate deal value totaling approximately $3.5 billion.
“We handled a significant number of deals during the year, including transactions in the energy and manufacturing sectors, and several new platform investments by our private equity clients,” said Chris Converse, co-chair of Gardere’s private equity team. “We are delighted that our clients trusted our team to assist with these deals.”
Here is a breakdown of the year, by the numbers:
- We closed 15 transactions with deal value between $50 and $500 million.
- Our largest 2015 M&A transaction by deal value was $615 million.
- We represented the buyer in 35 transactions and the seller in 19.
- Of our 54 M&A closings, 19 were private equity transactions.
