Cheryl Wagonhurst will be speaking at the 9th Annual Healthcare Financial Management Association’s (HFMA) Region 11 Healthcare Symposium, being held January 28 – 31, 2007 in Las Vegas, NV.
Ms. Wagonhurst will be speaking with James Sheehan, Associate U.S. Attorney, U.S. Department of Justice, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, on Emerging Enforcement of Quality of Care on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 from 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Caesars Palace.
This presentation will highlight the emerging trend of government enforcement of quality of care cases. In particular, the presentation will highlight how the government intends to use quality of care data reporting in its enforcement efforts. In addition, the presentation will cover how the government is expanding its enforcement efforts to acute care hospitals by the use if the federal False Claims Act and the Deficit Reduction Act.
