Please join Foley attorneys Francisco J. Cerezo, Gregory Husisian, Lauren L. Valiente, and Christopher Swift on Thursday, February 26, 2015, for a web conference, The Changing U.S. Cuba Landscape: Managing Risks and Opportunities, where they will discuss compliance issues arising under the current Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) legal regime and prospects for regulatory change.

With the opening of diplomatic relations with Cuba and easing of long-standing OFAC sanctions come many questions for companies looking for new opportunities, including:

  • How far will the easing of sanctions go
  • Whether the U.S. Congress will take steps to slow the easing of sanctions
  • What types of transactions will OFAC specifically license
  • How will OFAC continue to enforce remaining Cuba sanctions
