Hurricanes and Natural Disaster Recovery Legal Issues for Business
Legal Current by Thomson Reuters Podcast
September 7, 2017
Gardere labor and employment co-chair Rachel Powitzky Steely participated in Thomson Reuters’ Legal Current podcast with Leonard Lee to discuss what businesses need to keep in mind as they recover from the aftermath of storms and other natural disasters.
“The type of catastrophe relief you’re looking at with a natural disaster doesn’t just involve one area of the law,” says Steely. “You have environmental issues, you have tax issues, you have licenses and waivers… When the pieces of your life or your business have fallen apart, that most important thing is that you just get help from people who can steer you in the right direction.”
