Public Affairs Director Scott Klug was quoted in an Urban Milwaukee article, “Sanders Leads Dems in State Funds Raised,” about Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders fundraising lead among Democratic presidential candidates in Wisconsin.
Klug, a former Republican congressman who represented Madison in the U.S. House during the 1990s, said Sanders probably has a “residual fundraising base” in the state stemming from his 2016 presidential bid. “I’m not sure how much that sticks once everyone starts coming through here,” he added.
