Overview
Jordan J. Bergmann is a senior counsel and business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP, where he is a member of the Tax & Individual Planning Practice.
Mr. Bergmann practices general corporate and tax law, with experience in a number of areas, including:
- the formation, ownership, operation, sale, dissolution, and reorganization of C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and joint ventures;
- executive compensation matters relating to golden parachutes, stock options, and other equity compensation arrangements;
- closely held businesses and tax-exempt organizations.

Education
Mr. Bergmann received his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School (J.D., summa cum laude, December 2014), where he was a member of the Wisconsin Moot Court board and was elected to the Order of the Coif. He also served as a student attorney for the Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic during law school. Mr. Bergmann completed his undergraduate degree in consumer affairs and political science at the University of Wisconsin – Madison (B.S., 2012) and was an offensive lineman for the Wisconsin Badgers Football Team.

In 2015 and 2016, Mr. Bergmann co-authored the "Tax Law" chapter of the Wisconsin State Bar’s Annual Survey of Wisconsin Law.
