Overview

Labor law attorney Kenny Broodo is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and represents management in diverse markets such as small business, energy, technology, manufacturing, insurance, retail, wholesale, service, sales and marketing, private schools and universities, medical, entertainment, automobile sales and food. He also represents executives in contract negotiations and disputes. Kenny is especially adept at helping small to mid-size businesses maximize the opportunity to achieve employee stability and productivity, while avoiding employment litigation through proactive consulting, auditing, policy updates, disciplinary documentation and contract drafting. But, he aggressively defends against employment lawsuits when they come.

Kenny frequently advises on, prepares and negotiates executive and employment contracts, as well as confidentiality and non-compete agreements. He also has a niche practice dealing with six- and seven-figure employee fraud and embezzlement matters, along with ample experience aiding employers in uncovering employee deception and obtaining the full panoply of legal remedies – both civil and criminal.

Employers often rely on Kenny to arbitrate or litigate their contract disputes and complex discrimination, retaliation and harassment cases; to litigate ERISA-related benefit issues such as COBRA, severance and disability; to handle OSHA compliance claims and investigations; and to serve as their wage and hour lawyer against class actions, as well as whistleblower and qui tam cases.

Clients describe Kenny as thoroughly and reliably focused on one thing: solving the problem – by deploying the necessary measures to outflank the current situation, and then helping the employer take steps to prevent it from coming their way again. His long-term clients rarely find themselves in court over employment issues, but when they do, they find that they have a record to stand on, and an able, stubborn advocate for their cause.
