Overview

Richard E. Guyer is an associate and business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Transactions and Finance Practice Groups. He is also a member of the firm's Racial Justice and Equity Practice Group. Richard focuses his practice in the area of mergers and acquisitions, commercial finance and corporate governance.

During law school, Richard worked as a student attorney in the Duke Law Community Enterprise Clinic, where he counseled nonprofit entities engaged in community development projects on formation and governance issues.

Education

Richard earned his law degree from Duke University School of Law (J.D., 2017), where he was a senior staff editor of the Duke Journal of Constitutional Law & Public Policy. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida, majoring in psychology and philosophy (B.S., B.A., cum laude, 2014).
