Ashley E. May



Ashley May is an associate and business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP, where she is a member of the firm’s Taxation Practice. Ashley focuses on advising U.S. and non-U.S. fund managers pursuing a wide-range of strategies across a variety of industries on the U.S. federal income tax aspects of forming and operating their funds, as well as providing counsel to institutional investors and government agencies, such as pension funds. She also advises on the U.S. federal income tax consequences of mergers and acquisitions, capital market transactions, financings and other transactions.

Prior to joining Foley, Ashley served as an associate in the Tax Department of a major law firm in New York. She also served as an extern to Judge Gary Allen Feess in the United States District Courts, as well as the United States Attorney’s Office, both for the Central District of California.
