Senior Counsel

Robert Okonowski is a senior counsel and intellectual property attorney advising clients ranging from emerging technology companies and start-ups to multinational corporations, on the acquisition, protection, and enforcement of their intellectual property rights. He is a member of the firm’s Electronics Practice and the Innovative Technology and Manufacturing sectors.

Robert works with a broad array of clients across disciplines. He has experience in a wide variety of technology areas including cloud and edge computing; software development and deployment; wireless communication systems including protection of standard essential patents; hardware design; augmented reality and virtual reality technology, including rendering optimization and latency reduction; artificial intelligence and machine learning; business method technology; and telemedicine.

Robert counsels clients on development, deployment, and execution of IP strategies throughout the IP lifecycle, from asset acquisition to third-party agreement negotiation, due diligence, and pre-litigation support, including freedom-to-operate and invalidity analyses.
