Aude S. Peden, Ph.D., is an associate and intellectual property lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP, where she is a member of the firm’s Chemical, Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Practice. Aude focuses her practice on the preparation and prosecution of domestic and international biotechnology and pharmaceutical patent applications, as well as conducting intellectual property due diligence and patentability, Freedom-to-Operate, invalidity and non-infringement analyses. Aude has extensive technical experience in cell biology, genetics, neurobiology and molecular biology.
Aude served as a law clerk at Foley during law school. Prior to joining Foley, Aude served as an extern and intern with the Office of the General Counsel and the Office for Interactions with Industry at Partners HealthCare System.
Education
Aude earned her law degree from Boston University School of Law (J.D., 2018), where she was a 2L editor (2016 – 2017) and articles editor (2017 – 2018) for the Journal of Science and Technology Law. She earned her doctorate in molecular and cellular pharmacology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2005 and her bachelor’s degree in biology, with a minor in chemistry, from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (B.S., magna cum laude) in 1999.
