Overview

Jeff Steele is a partner in the Business Law Department with Foley & Lardner LLP. Jeff is based in the Salt Lake City office where he is a member of the firm’s Transaction Practice Group. His practice involves the representation of emerging growth technology companies with respect to mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and angel financings, commercial contracts, including strategic partnerships and other collaborative arrangements and licensing, as well as company formation and general corporate counseling. Jeff also regularly represents venture capital funds and angel groups in their portfolio investments.

Prior to joining Foley, Jeff worked as a partner a well-established regional law firm in its office in Salt Lake City. Prior to that, Jeff practiced in the Boston, Massachusetts area as a -partner in the boutique law firm focused on the representation of emerging growth technology companies and venture capital funds.

Jeff is very active in the start-ups and emerging companies, seed and venture capital finance, and mergers and acquisitions sectors. He is also a frequent mentor/judge in business plan competitions. He regularly serves as a speaker, presenter, teacher and/or panelist for a broad range of organizations, including:
