Hillary Vedvig is a business lawyer in the Environmental Practice with Foley & Lardner LLP. She is also a member of the Energy Industry Team. During law school, Hillary worked for the Ombudsperson Institute of Kosovo, Pristina, Kosovo, as a legal advisor and for the European Human Rights Advocacy Center, London, UK, as a legal intern. Hillary directed the Life Worth Living Fellowship and directed the Palliative Care Medical Legal Partnership.
Hillary advises clients in all areas of environmental law, including environmental compliance counseling, transactions, and environmental litigation. Hillary has advised clients in contested case proceedings and environmental litigation and provides counsel to clients regarding permitting requirements related to air emissions, waste management, and water discharges, and on a variety of compliance matters related to chemicals and chemical usage, including under California’s Proposition 65.
Hillary assists clients with sustainability reporting and works on a variety of Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) issues. Hillary also works extensively on environmental and permitting matters related to the design, development and operation of renewable energy projects. Hillary has drafted conservation easements relating to agricultural land in Wisconsin.
