Foley is pleased to announce that The Georgetown Black Law Students Association (BLSA) has named Nicholas Austin, associate in the Washington, D.C. office, as the recipient of the Winfred R. Mundle Alumni Trailblazer Award. This distinct honor is presented to a BLSA alum who has demonstrated exemplary leadership and accomplishments within their industry while making a positive impact on the local and national landscape.
Austin will be presented with the Trailblazer Award at BLSA’s 2013 Celebration of Excellence Awards on April 10, 2013 at the Georgetown University Law Center.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis appointed Foley & Lardner LLP partner Michael Okaty to the Board of Governors of the State University System of Florida. The board oversees the operation and management of the Florida public university system’s 12 institutions. Okaty and five other announced appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate for a term of seven years.
