Partner Scott Fredericksen told Law360 in the article, “Ex-Trump Adviser to Be Sentenced in Russia Probe” that former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos’ agreement to be sentenced by Special Counsel Robert Mueller for making false statements to the FBI likely means that his cooperation with the special counsel is complete.
Fredericksen also said that it also signifies that it is unlikely that Papadopoulos will testify in any prospective trial.
“Certainly if he was an essential witness, they would have delayed his sentencing until after any trial,” he said.
