Congratulations to our Partner, Erika Morabito, who will be inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy (ACB) in March 2021.
Morabito is one of only 37 bankruptcy and restructuring professionals this year who were invited to become a Fellow of the ACB from the United States and abroad being honored and recognized for professional excellence and contributions to the fields of bankruptcy and insolvency.

The American College of Bankruptcy is the preeminent and most prestigious organization of bankruptcy and insolvency professionals. Its mission is to honor and recognize distinguished bankruptcy professionals who are qualified for membership in an effort to set standards of achievement for others in the insolvency community, and to fund and assist projects that enhance the highest quality of bankruptcy practice, including undergraduate and graduate programs related to bankruptcy and insolvency. Fellows include judges, lawyers, international fellows, accountants, corporate turnaround specialists, government officials and other professionals who are experts in the field of bankruptcy and insolvency.
The College’s Members are selected through a rigorous nomination process by a Board of Regents from recommendations received from the Circuit Admissions Council in each federal judicial circuit. The College has only approximately 730 Members, and only 22 percent of the College’s membership are women.
Morabito is a litigator, trial attorney and bankruptcy/restructuring lawyer. She has served as the national department vice chair for Litigation, as well as the vice chair of the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice. For nearly a decade, she also served as the hiring partner for general practice for the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.
With her induction, Morabito is now one of six Foley lawyers to have been given this honor. The other Foley lawyers who have been inducted into the College are: John Melko, Charles Tabb, Victor Vilaplana and retired partners Judy O’Neill and Dee Ruckman.
