Partner Carrie Hoffman was quoted in a Freight Waves article, “New federal rule on worker classification may not see light of day,” about whether President-elect Joe Biden will shelve a proposed new Department of Labor rule on the classification of independent contractors.
Hoffman said incoming Biden administration officials have indicated that the new rule, which is set to take effect after the new president is sworn in, is on a list of Trump administration proposals that will be subject to reconsideration. “I don’t think it will end up being the rule,” she said.
