Foley Saw Strong Demand and Revenue Boost in 2024, Chairman Credits ‘Our People’ for Success
The American Lawyer featured Foley’s continued success in 2024 in the article, “Strong Demand Across Transactional Practices Led to 9.2% Revenue Boost at Foley & Lardner.”
“It’s been a great several years for the firm,” Foley Chairman and CEO Daljit Doogal said in an interview. “We’ve had consistent growth over the last 10 years.”
The firm’s revenue grew in 2024 to a record $1.28 billion, a 9.2% year over year increase. Revenue per lawyer improved by 6.8% and profits per equity partner rose 10.9%.
Doogal noted the firm’s corporate department posted “a really strong year” with continued demand in practices including transactions, health care, finance, fund formation, and M&A.
Several significant firm developments from last year were also highlighted, including Foley opening its 26th office in Raleigh, North Carolina, and numerous lateral hires joining in key areas. “Lateral hires in 2024 were spread throughout the country, with much of the partner hiring focused on the health care and innovative technology sectors,” Doogal said.
Leadership changes included the firm’s promotion of Jen Patton, who was the firm’s chief talent officer, to chief operating officer, and Rebecca Bradley, the director of professional development, as the firm’s new chief talent officer.
“It’s our people,” Doogal added, attributing Foley’s success to work done across the firm. “They are doing a great job out there, capturing market share.”
