Bloomberg Law
Foley & Lardner LLP partner Holland O’Neil commented on the rise of Texas as a popular forum for major corporate bankruptcy proceedings in the Bloomberg Law article, “Texas’ Success in Luring Companies Now Extends to Bankruptcies.”
O’Neil said that the courts in Dallas and Fort Worth in particular boast benches that ensure staff accessibility. The Fifth Circuit’s “conservative and business-friendly” jurisprudence also makes it an attractive venue, she added.
“It is notable that each judge was a well-known and well-respected bankruptcy practitioner prior to going on the bench,” O’Neil commented.
