Alexandre “Alex” Turqueto is a member of the firm’s Transactions Practice Group where his practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, emerging growth and venture financings, and general corporate and business counseling. Alex advises a wide range of clients, including private equity sponsors, venture capital funds, portfolio companies, emerging growth companies, and strategic buyers and sellers across diverse industries.
With extensive experience in international and domestic mergers and acquisitions, Alex has represented clients in complex corporate transactions across various industries, including technology, energy, life sciences, entertainment, fintech, and financial services. This includes pre-deal drafting and revision of agreements, multi-party negotiations, legal due diligence, analysis of legal risks, preparation of companies for sale, and negotiation and structuring of cross-border transactions.
Alex also represents startups on financing rounds, from small-series seed rounds to larger, venture fund-backed rounds. This involves negotiations and drafting of related documentation, corporate structuring, corporate governance, and investor relations. Additionally, he counsels corporate and venture capital investment funds on investments in emerging companies and related due diligence.
Alex has extensive experience in both domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, having previously practiced at leading international law firms in New York, San Francisco and São Paulo (Brazil). Alex’s experience in both U.S. and international markets enables him to effectively support clients in global investment and expansion strategies.
