Overview Matthew J. Price Deputy General Counsel mprice foley.com Download vCard Matthew J. Price is deputy general counsel with Foley & Lardner LLP. In his role as deputy general counsel, Mr. Price advises Foley and its lawyers with respect to a wide variety of professional responsibility, ethics, regulatory, compliance, and insurance issues. Prior to joining Foley, Mr. Price practiced commercial civil litigation and dispute resolution. He represented local, national and global companies before administrative agencies, arbitration panels, state and federal courts, and through other dispute resolution mechanisms in diverse areas, including contractual disputes, complex construction defects and delays, insurance coverage, business valuation and shareholder disputes, bankruptcy, Chapter 128 receivership, governmental bidding and award disputes, construction bonds, employment discrimination, collections and lien foreclosure. In addition to his deputy general counsel duties at Foley, Mr. Price prosecutes attorney disciplinary matters in his capacity as retained counsel to the Office of Lawyer Regulation of the Supreme Court of Wisconsin. Education Mr. Price is a graduate of Marquette University Law School. During law school, he served as a law clerk intern for Chief Justice Roland B. Day of the Supreme Court of Wisconsin and was a member of the Marquette Sports Law Journal. Prior to law school, he received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he was a member of Beta Alpha Psi, the international honors society for financial information students. During his undergraduate studies, he also served as a legislative page and then legislative intern for the Wisconsin Assembly. Admissions Mr. Price is admitted to practice before all Wisconsin state and federal courts, the United States Tax Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
