Raidy Named Woman of Influence
Foley Partner Cherie S. Raidy has been awarded the distinction of being recognized as a 2007 “Woman of Influence” by Real Estate Southern California magazine. Real Estate Southern California’s annual “Women of Influence” list honors women throughout the region for their “contributions to commercial real estate and their devotion to the enrichment of their communities.”
As a member of the firm’s preeminent Real Estate, Finance & Financial Institutions, Transactional & Securities, Public Finance and Private Equity & Venture Capital Practices and the Hospitality, Resort & Golf Industry Team, Raidy works with financial institution clients on a variety of representations, including consumer financial litigation and class actions, and mortgage lending litigation cases. This year, she handled a total of $3.3 billion worth of real estate transactions. She served as lead counsel on behalf of a borrower in a $3.2 billion loan syndication deal, and represents Citigroup and other national lenders on an ongoing basis in real estate lending, warehousing, and land banking transactions.
Raidy serves on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Real Property Section. She is past chair of the Real Estate Finance Steering Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and former vice-chair of the California State Bar Real Property Section. In addition, Raidy sits on the Pasadena YMCA’s Board of Directors and she serves on the Advisory Committee of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
