Foley Partner and chair of the firm’s National Pro Bono Committee Edmund Baxa was quoted in an article titled “Tourism industry sees a friend in Obama” in the January 19, 2009 issue of the Orlando Sentinel. Baxa speaks on the announcement that Foley would perform free legal work for the Burnham Institute for Medical Research in the area of orphan drugs, adding that the firm seeks to help the Institute develop orphan drugs without the hindrance of financial considerations.
