On May 6, 2013, Partner Irwin Raij and Of Counsel John L. Murphy were named as 2012 Top Dealmakers of the Year by the editors of the Daily Business Review.
Mr. Raij was the winner of the Corporate Domestic category for his work in representing Guggenheim Baseball Management in its acquisition of the Los Angeles Dodgers. At $2.1 billion, it is the single largest transaction ever for a professional sports franchise.
Mr. Murphy won the Restructuring/Distressed Category for his work in restructuring $310 million in debt for the multinational Trinidad Cement Limited Group. A new debt schedule and 27 separate extensions of credit were negotiated on behalf of Trinidad Cement.
