Foley is pleased to announce its recognition by Working Mother magazine and Flex-Time Lawyers LLC as a 2013 “Best Law Firm for Women.”
To compile its list of the Best Law Firms for Women, Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers, an international firm focused on the retention and promotion of women attorneys, measured firms on factors including flexibility, child care, leadership, compensation, development and advancement of women as well as time off policies. A special gala awards luncheon will be held on September 25 in New York to honor the award winners.
In 2013 Foley was also recognized with Gold Standard Certification by the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) for the second consecutive year. This honor recognizes firms that have demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing women lawyers in leadership roles as evidenced by the number of women equity partners, inclusion of women in the firm’s governance structure and recognition of the contributions of women attorneys through compensation.
“We are pleased to be recognized for our commitment to being a great place to work for our women attorneys. We are proud of the accomplishments of our women attorneys and value their contributions. These awards recognize the progress we are making in advancing and supporting women,” said Foley Chairman and CEO Jay Rothman.
Foley makes significant investments to reinforce the business case for gender diversity and ensure women are fully supported in business development activities, including targeted training, sponsorships, networking events and other programs. Foley also recognizes the challenges faced by working parents in balancing professional responsibilities with family demands. The firm proactively supports working parents through generous family-oriented benefits and policies and customized programs such as working parent coaches.
