Gardere’s international trade team, in partnership with financial advisory firm GlassRatner, co-hosted a “spooky” half-day seminar on Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) compliance and enforcement at the Firm’s new Dallas office in Uptown.
Compliance counsel from a diverse group of industries provided practical insights and best practices on the real-life application of the FCPA in the U.S. and abroad. An enforcement attorney from the SEC also shared expectations on compliance and monitoring.
Speakers included Akita Adkins from the Securities and Exchange Commission’s FCPA Unit, along with compliance professionals from Baker Hughes, BBA Aviation, DynCorp International, Fluor, Gruma Corporation, Hewlett-Packard and Mary Kay Inc.
