Foley Partner Mark Thimke was quoted in an article titled “Experts urge businesses to plan ahead for carbon rules” in the March 6, 2010 issue of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Thimke discusses potential climate legislation that will require businesses to disclose carbon emissions as Congress moves to enact a federal system to regulate emissions of greenhouse gases. He adds that businesses will have to disclose what it will cost to curb their emissions and if there is a physical effect on their business from climate change disruptions such as hurricanes or high water.
