Foley Team Receives ‘Litigator of the Week’ Shout Out for INDECT Patent Trial Win

Foley & Lardner LLP received recognition in The Am Law Litigation Daily column, “Litigator of the Week Runners-Up and Shout Outs,” for its trial victory on behalf of INDECT USA Corp. in a technology patent dispute with Park Assist LLC. INDECT provides parking guidance systems ranging from single-space indicators and camera-based sensors to surface lot detection and custom signage. 

A California federal jury found that INDECT did not infringe on Park Assist’s patent covering camera-based parking guidance systems that monitor and detect parking space occupancy. The Foley team representing INDECT included Partners J. Michael Thomas and Paul Storm, Senior Counsel Michelle Moran, Associates Stephanie McPhail, Mikle Jew, and Randy Pummill, Paralegal Tanya Durham, and Assistant Brittnie Hutchinson.
