Foley & Lardner LLP advised Kaia Health, a digital therapeutics company focused on musculoskeletal (MSK) and pulmonary care, on its $285 million sale to Sword Health.
Kaia Health has enabled broad access to digital MSK and COPD care for millions of members through multiple well-established partnerships. Following the acquisition, these populations will be further supported by Sword Health’s AI Care platform, ensuring uninterrupted care while benefiting from Sword’s industry-leading outcomes, engagement, and cost efficiency.
The Foley team served as legal counsel for health care regulatory and executive compensation issues and was led by partners Thomas (T.J.) Ferrante, vice chair of the firm’s nationally recognized Health Care Practice Group, and Casey Knapp, vice chair of the firm’s Business Law Department, and included support from Senior Counsel, Kelsey O’Gorman.
