Overview

Britton Alexander is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP. Britton practices general corporate and business law with a focus in mergers and acquisitions transactions, securities law, and corporate governance. She is a member of the firm’s Transactions Practice.

Prior to joining Foley, Britton clerked for United States District Court Judge John Antoon II in the Middle District of Florida. She also worked in communications in the Florida Senate.

Education

Britton received her law degree from the Florida State University College of Law (J.D., magna cum laude), where she was the Executive Notes & Comments Editor of the Florida State University Law Review. She also served as a Florida Gubernatorial Fellow with the Department of Environmental Protection and an extern at Florida’s First District Court of Appeal for the Honorable Judge Simone Marstiller. She received book awards in Civil Procedure, Legal Writing & Research, Election Law, Florida Constitutional Law, European Union Law, and Florida Legislative Practice. She is a member of the Florida State University Chapter of the Order of the Coif.

She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.A., 2012), where she majored in journalism & mass communications as well as English.
