Michael (Mickey) Luiz helpt particuliere investeringssponsors met alle aspecten van het opzetten van fondsen, waaronder het aantrekken van kapitaal, marketing, het opstellen van aanbiedingsdocumenten en het opstellen van organisatorische documenten. Hij adviseert klanten ook over regelgeving, compliance en operationele kwesties tijdens zowel een actieve fondsenwerving als de operationele fase, onder meer met betrekking tot sponsor-carried interest en management company-regelingen. Tot de sponsorcliënten van Mickey behoren gevestigde en opkomende private equity-, venture capital-, growth equity-, krediet- en fund-of-funds-sponsors.

Mickey’s experience includes advising institutional investors, including endowments, family offices, governmental plans, fund-of-funds, and corporations, on their private capital investment activity. He has also advised private fund sponsors, buyers, and sellers in secondary transactions.

Prior to law school, Mickey worked at a Big 4 accounting firm on the assurance team, working within the health care, real estate, and biotech industries. He is a member of the firm’s Fund Formation & Investment Management Practice.
