Retired partner, Deirdre (Dee) Ruckman, an accomplished bankruptcy attorney, has substantial experience representing debtors and creditors in complex reorganizations and in sales of distressed assets in bankruptcy, especially in the energy, healthcare and hospitality sectors. She had a regional and national practice, handling matters involving restructurings of both private and public debt. Dee is a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Bankruptcy, and was active in the Energy, Healthcare and Hospitality Industries.

Regardless of the industry, clients increasingly turned to Dee when seeking a chapter 11 attorney to handle the sophisticated disposition of distressed assets involved in bankruptcy. Her lender-related work included such matters as loan transactions, equipment leasing, factoring transactions and structured finance transactions.
Dee’s clients appreciated her creative approach to problem solving, especially in complicated deals. During her 45 years with the firm, she chaired the Bankruptcy and Reorganization Practice for 10 years and held other numerous firm leadership positions.
