Members of our practice also represent cedents and reinsurers in a wide range of reinsurance transactions, including assumption reinsurance, portfolio transfers, co-insurance, and modified co-insurance deals.
We manage every stage of a deal — from initial consideration and strategic planning to legal due diligence, negotiation, documentation, regulatory reviews, and implementation. When appropriate, our deal team will consult and involve other Foley attorneys for their specific experience in unique areas, such as securities law, taxation, employee benefits and executive compensation, antitrust, environmental, information technology and outsourcing, real estate, labor and employment, and others. Many of these attorneys have experience utilizing their specific experience within the context of an insurance M&A transaction.
