Dr. Thomas (Tom) Bilodeau is a special counsel and an intellectual property lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. His practice focuses on prosecution before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Dr. Bilodeau is a member of the firm’s Electronics Practice.
Prior to Foley, Tom was a patent examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where he examined patent applications in semiconductor device processing. He also worked as a research physicist for the University Research Foundation in the Naval Research Laboratory, where he designed and produced laser-excited fiber optic chemical sensors for remote identification and characterization of chemical contaminants for environmental applications.
