
Michael (Mike) R. Rahmn

Michael (Mike) R. Rahmn is an experienced litigator whose practice focuses on general litigation, including commercial disputes, restrictive covenant and trade secret litigation, ERISA related litigation, construction litigation, and product liability claims. Mike, who is licensed in Texas and Louisiana, has successfully defended clients in the oil and gas, construction, manufacturing, health care, and transportation industries. He is a partner in the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Energy Litigation, and Labor & Employment Practices.
In addition to his active litigation practice, Mike counsels clients about matters involving employment and confidentiality agreements, corporate investigations, and appropriately managing litigation risk. Mike was appointed to serve on IEL’s Young Energy Professionals publication.
Prior to earning his law degree, Mike served as a judicial intern for Chief Justice Sherry Radack of the 1st Court of Appeals in Houston. He also served as a law clerk for the National Labor Relations Board and a Fortune 500 oilfield service company.

- Represented an innovative plastics solutions company in a suit filed against former employees where a jury returned a multimillion-dollar verdict establishing the trade secret nature of the technology and the misappropriation by the defendants.
- Obtained judgment in national call center’s favor in disability discrimination lawsuit filed by former employee.
- Defended manufacturer in lawsuit brought under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act in which the court dismissed manufacturer from lawsuit during trial.
- Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a pipeline company in a breach of contract dispute.
- Represented manufacturer and nationwide distributor in cases involving product liability and personal injury claims.
- Represented manufacturer of offshore oil platform access system in product liability and personal injury lawsuits.
- Represented medical device manufacturer in product liability and deceptive trade practices act lawsuit.
- Obtained restraining order and temporary injunction in case involving ownership and use of client’s proprietary software.
- Represented new professional services company and its owner in defense of application for temporary injunction after owner’s former employer sought to restrain activities of new company.
- Represented professional services companies in multiple cases against employees for misappropriation of confidential information, breach of fiduciary duties, and breach of non-solicitation agreements.
