Dr. Rachel Utterback is a patent agent with Foley & Lardner LLP. She is a member of the Chemical, Biotech & Pharmaceutical Practice Group. Rachel has experience with preparing and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications across a variety of technology areas, including small molecule pharmaceuticals, antibody therapeutics, mRNA technologies, chemical sensors, polymer materials, battery materials, and catalytic materials.

Prior to joining Foley, Rachel worked as a Science Advisor for a boutique IP law firm. Her doctorate focus was on the design, synthesis, and biological characterization of pro-chelators to target the iron metabolism of cancer.
