Nicholas Wainwright works in the Litigation Department as a member of the Commercial Litigation Practice Group. He represents clients across sectors facing complex civil litigation and related legal challenges, including business disputes, internal investigations, and government investigations. His background as a U.S. Army military intelligence officer informs his strategic, mission-driven approach to law.

With experience briefing senior defense officials and coordinating with intelligence agencies, Nicholas brings a unique perspective to legal matters involving government, defense, and policy. Nicholas currently serves as a captain in the U.S. Army Reserve, where he provides intelligence support to senior defense leadership. In his military career, Nicholas has supported crisis response efforts during numerous major geopolitical events, including the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Prior to law school, he worked as a management consultant at a large consulting firm in Washington, D.C., where he worked on projects supporting the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy.

During law school, Nicholas advocated for low-income veterans during a summer internship at Veterans Legal Services. He also co-founded the Student Veterans Association at Boston University School of Law and volunteers with Service2School to mentor fellow veterans seeking admission to graduate programs.
