Rachel Kingrey Volunteer Work Highlighted in Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas Annual Report
August 3, 2016
The Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas featured Attorney Rachel Kingrey’s pro bono work through the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program in its 2015 Annual Report. The publication highlighted her recent work helping a political refugee couple obtain a favorable judgment after the two unknowingly made a fraudulent purchase on a salvaged vehicle.
“For me, it was an opportunity to demonstrate to asylum seekers how the American legal system can and should work to achieve justice,” said Ms. Kingrey. “While most everyone can pitch in at a food bank, park or library, only lawyers can provide legal services which are often critically needed.”
