Foley & Lardner LLP partner André Thiollier shared insight on the difficult negotiating position startups with dwindling cash reserves face in the Pitchbook article, “Outside the AI boom, it’s a buyer’s market for cash-strapped startups.”
As few companies raise more than two years’ worth of cash runway, those that raised in 2021 or 2022 may be at a crossroads.
“Now they’re either looking for an exit or going belly-up,” Thiollier commented.
